Humble Thanks is a poem written by Charles Spurgeon that was put to music by Brian Lange in 1997. The harmonica part in it is done in straight harp in the key of C – an easy lick for any beginner harmonica player to master. The message of this song is so good. To gives thanks is a sign of a heart that is filled with God’s Holy Spirit.

Words and music by Brian Lange. God isn’t blind. It’s just that the cross of Jesus wiped away our sins so they can’t be found in God’s mind. This is the meaning of forgiveness. It is also why God can’t remember our sin. He has divine amnesia and will never remember them again.

Words and music by Jukka Borg.  Jukka is a dear friend, a great musician and a songwriter. This is one of the songs he wrote during late nineties. I like the whistling birds.

Words and Music unknown. This is an old country gospel song that we enjoyed playing. Each of us got a shot at a solo run. Special thanks to Grencso Istvan for his sax piece. You can hear my bantar in the background – a 6-string guitar tuned banjo.

This one is about our breakup after I was saved and our eventual reuniting and marriage after she was saved. We’ve been following Jesus together since 1979! Special thanks to Grencso Istvan for his saxophone and Zsuzsa Palkovics for her beautiful flute.

Words by Brian Lange and music by the Jordan Special Band.  Grencso Istvan’s sax really shines in this song about the woes of natural life and the joy and freedom of spiritual life in Christ. This is a unique sound for Jordan Special and one we enjoyed doing in concert.

The violin pizzicato and bass runs create a sound and feel that make this song really special. Ps 39 is a psalm that probes the thoughts and intents of the heart and leaves one with only God as the answer to our musings.

Words and music by Brian Lange. So many put the blame on God for all the woes of this life but do not also blame Him for His Son’s sacrifice on the cross and the free gift of salvation. God is to blame for it all and praise Him for His gracious purposes and loving actions on our behalf.
